“Meet Abigail Inyang the talented 17 year old CyberGirls Alumna and penetration tester, living in Nigeria and working for a US-based company.”
Abigail Inyang
Abigail joined the CyberGirls Fellowship in her city (Calabar, Nigeria) when she was just 16 years old. She graduated as one of our best talents on the penetration testing track in February 2022. In true fashion of a self-motivated cybersecurity enthusiast, Abigail didnt rest on her oars.
Since graduating from CyberGirls, Abigail has interned with a cybsecurity consulting company in Botswana, spoken at several events, delivered live demo presentations (for educational purposes only) including hacking WPA2 Wi-Fi wireless network, SQL injection, etc.
I chose this headshot of her because of her interest in building AI-powered wearables. Although we no longer accept girls below 18 years of age into the CyberGirls Fellowship, Abigail represents exactly what’s possible when girls are supported to kickstart their careers in Cybersecurity. Seeing how her value has transcended borders, we are inspired!
For our third cohort, we received over 20,000 applications from 45 African countries and we are currently taking applicants through some pre-liminary mini- course to test their level of discipline. We cant’t wait to welcome a new cohort of girls to begin their Cybersecurity journey with CyberSafe Foundation .
If you’ll like to hire very talented girls like Abigail or donate/sponsor us to create more Abigails, please send me a message.
